How we use your data

Madison Consulting is an agency for strategic consulting and the implementation of public relations. In the fulfillment of our professional tasks, we cooperate with our clients and business partners. An important part of our business activities is contacting media representatives, public persons, other companies and end users.

Here we provide you with all important information about means, purposes and grounds for collection and processing of data, including personal data.

1. THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA AND LEGAL FRAMEWORK IN GENERAL

The European Union regulations on the protection of personal data regulate permitted purposes for the collection, processing and use of personal data, such as:

- If you have given your consent;
- If data processing is needed for entering into a certain type of a contract;
- If there is a legal obligation for your data to be processed;
- If processing is in your vital interest;
- If processing is needed to carry out tasks in the public interest or tasks carried out by civil service, tax authorities, the police or other public authorities;
- If there is a legitimate interest of the data controller.

A person or body which processes your data is called the data controller. The data controller is obliged to adhere to rules of the General Regulation on the protection and storage of your personal data:

- Your data can only be collected for clearly defined purposes;
- The data requested from you must not be excessive;
- Data which identify you as an individual (i.e. your name or contact details) must not be kept any longer than necessary;
- You must be able to correct, remove or block your data which is incorrect;
- Your data should be protected against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration and disclosure.

You have the right, in certain cases, to ask data controller to correct, remove or block your incorrect data. You can ask for your personal data to be removed if this data is inaccurate, inadequate, irrelevant or excessive for the purposes of data processing.

If you think that your data is not being handled according to the rules or has been processed illegally, you can send a complaint to the data controller (the person or body processing your data) and:

- Ask for the data to be corrected, erased or blocked;
- Demand that the data controller notifies those who have already seen the incorrect data, unless this requires a disproportionate effort.
- If you do not get a reasonable answer from the data controller, you can send a complaint to your national data protection authority.
